Before we say goodbye to the year 2011, let's take a minute to review this year's significant events that changed the world.  Fairchild Radio's "2011 News Yearenders" will re-cap major events like the 3.11 tsunami in Japan, the revolutions in the Arab world and the hunt-down of Osama bin Ladan and Muammar Gaddafi. While the people in North Korea mourned thier leader Kim Jong Il, the rest of the world is heart broken over the pass away of Apple's founder Steve Jobs. On a brighter side, the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in April was a memorable event for people around the world who witnessed the event live on TV and on web.

在 2011 年所發生的國際大事非常多，先有世紀天災 － 3.11 日本東北大地震，其引發的漏核危機至今仍未能妥善解決。

人禍方面，歐洲經濟泡沫連環爆破，希臘、意大利及西班牙等多個國家債台高築，全歐正設法救亡；美國經濟亦持續疲弱，失業率高企引致示威者長期佔領華爾街表達不滿。

政治方面，在年中美軍特種部隊在巴基斯坦擊斃拉登；由「阿拉伯之春」引發成大規模反政府示威，令中東及北非局勢動盪，甚至利比亞狂人卡達菲亦在逃亡途中死於鎗下。
