由加拿大中文電台主辦的Little Sunshine，在去年和今年夏季均受到全城觸目，人氣高企。今天一班小小明星就在列治文時代坊再踏台板，載歌載舞之餘更向觀眾宣揚兒童安全意識，呼籲成人及小孩都要提高警覺，隨時留意孩子的人身安全。


Little Sunshine, a talent search for Chinese-speaking kids between 4 and 10 years old, has attracted a lot of attention since the summer of 2010 and recently, the winners and contestants of Little Sunshine decided to use their fame for a worthy cause.

該個名為《Little Sunshine Happy Show》的表演，由去年和今年共十位Little Sunshine負責全場節目，去屆冠軍Charine（7 歲）和今屆冠軍Monica（9歲）固然極具大將之風，但其餘八位4至11歲的小小Sunshine亦亳不怯場，貓步走得有板有眼，歌舞樂器表演亦揮耍自如。在問答環節中，十位Little Sunshine輪流帶出兒童安全守則，對答風趣鬼馬，亳無說教意味，令在場觀眾捧腹大笑。


In a performance called “Little Sunshine Happy Show” held at Aberdeen Centre on October 8, ten of the Little Sunshine contestants from this year and last joined force to promote the importance of children’s safety.  They sang, they danced and they educated the audience how to keep children safe.

除了Little Sunshine外，今年的Sunshine Nation冠軍Sam 李志森和才藝大獎得主Jeffrey白景舜，亦表演了精彩的醒獅和二胡演奏，以行動支持十位可愛的師弟師妹。

Tips for keeping children safe include parents should never leave a child alone in a car and go somewhere else, and very young children must be taught not to wander away from parents in public places.  As for older children or teens, they should learn to be extra cautious when making friends online.

Little Sunshine catwalk show

《Little Sunshine Happy Show》以兒童安全為主題，是基於公眾對於這個問題的認知度仍然普遍不足。兒童被擄走甚至被傷害的新聞近年時有所聞，尤其現在互聯網流通，令罪犯有更多機會向單純的青少年下手，教導兒童保謢自己，防範陌生人已是刻不容緩的課題。而踏入十月，家長亦應乘時教導子女在萬聖節當晚該如何保障人身安全，例如不應單獨出動，不應到陌生的地區，收集到的糖果亦應先由成人檢視才可進食等。為了令觀眾對兒童安全有更深入的了解，加拿大中文電台特別準備了一份名為「兒童安全指引」的單張在現場派發。


Children’s safety is obviously a timely issue.  Thanks to Amber Alert, the cases of missing children have gotten a lot of media coverage and many of these cases are solved with the public help. Yet, most of the cases involving abducted or exploited children do not have a happy ending.  The fact that more and more teenagers and even grade school students are surfing freely on web simply creates more opportunities for criminals to take advantage of innocent children.    Fairchild Radio distributed a flyer of Children’s Safety Tips during the “Little Sunshine Happy Show”.
