從1969年至今，葉振棠 (Johnny Ip) 已踏足樂壇 45 年，當中經歷了不少變化。在80年代，葉振棠憑著主唱當時極受歡迎的電視劇主題曲而成為香港樂壇的中流砥柱。

最近，他接受Delon廖德隆的電話專訪時透露，他在去年花了整年時間製作一張超高水準的新CD，並且投放了不少心血在這張被他形容為「HiFi發燒碟」上，而它跟以往在錄音室所灌錄的唱片有很大分別，例如租用禮拜堂，並安排樂隊跟自己即場演繹及直接收音，效果非常特別，而他所選用的音響器材及線材之講究，更會令聽眾耳目一新。

雖然棠哥在音樂事業上奮鬥多年，但對唱歌的熱誠依然未減。他笑言:「飯可以不吃，但歌一定要唱」，所以他堅持唱歌，永不言休。聽眾們有耳福了! 在訪問中，他還講述很多鮮為人知的有趣故事及他快將在溫哥華舉行的個人演唱會的幕後花絮。

Johnny Ip, a famous pop singer from Hong Kong, started his music career more than 40 years ago. He has been a popular singer since the 80s and he sang many of the TV drama theme songs.  He said that singing is an essential nutrition to his life and that he would never stop singing.
