早前由加拿大中文電台新聞及公共事務部發起的「魚翅禁不禁?」網上民意調查，邀請聽眾就「加拿大政府應否通過禁售魚翅產品?」發表意見。民意調查於 11 月 21 日至 12 月 4 日期間在加拿大中文電台網頁及 FR App 手機程式中進行。經過兩星期的非官方及非科學化的網上公投後，總數是 643 票，當中 75.27% 是反對票，其餘的 24.73% 是贊成票；經 FR App 手機程式投票的高達 42%。

加拿大中文電台已經把民意調查結果呈交至三個市政府，包括溫哥華、本拿比及列治文，藉此反映大溫地區市民對市政府嘗試實行魚翅產品禁例的聲音。

Fairchild Radio News & Public Affairs Department had conducted an online survey between Nov 21 and Dec 4, asking listeners whether they agree shark-fin products should be banned in Canada or not.  After 2 weeks online poll on Fairchild Radio web & app, the result indicates 75.27% people disagree shark-fin products should be banned in Canada and only 24.73% people agree. Fairchild Radio has sent these polling results to the Mayors and City Councillors of Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond today for their information
