A Statement from Fairchild Group Regarding Employment Scams Involving Our Names

On behalf of Fairchild Group and its subsidiary companies including Fairchild Media Group and other real estate and retail divisions, we would like to call everyone’s attention to the recent employment scams that involve our names.

It has been discovered in more than one incident that innocent job seekers were lured by fake hiring ads that were linked to a counterfeit website with Fairchild Group’s logo and company profile.  When the victims applied for a job and were subsequently “hired”, the scammers would ask them to provide personal information with photocopies of ID and proof of address.  However, once the information was provided, the hiring officer would vanish and all communication cut off.

Fairchild Group condemns anyone who uses our names, logos and images for illegal purposes, and we reserve the right to take legal action against anyone or any business participating in such scams.

We urge job seekers to verify the employer’s information before replying to any hiring ad.  Fairchild Group’s website is www.fairchildgroup.com.  Please email to hr@fairchildradiogroup.com to verify a hiring ad, and if you are suspicious of any fraudulent activity, please report it to the police.

Internet fraud is rampant, and scammers prey on job seekers. Your best defense is to do your research and report internet job scams to the authorities.
