CelticFest Vancouver - Robson Square, March 17 & 18, 2017

Come ‘paint the town green’ at CelticFest Vancouver with the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations!  New this year is the Celtic Village at Robson Street and Robson Square featuring traditional music, dancing, piping and fun! CelticFest Vancouver is presenting a new free community event at Robson Square that runs March 17 & 18 from 11 am - 11 pm where you can celebrate all things Irish (Welsh and Scottish too)! 

The main stage will feature headlining international award winning fusion band Delhi 2 Dublin on Friday, March 17th and local legends The Paperboys on Saturday, March 18th, with special guests including Tiller’s Folly, Wheat in the Barley, Pat Chessell Band and Eire Born Irish Dancers.  Other programming includes the six times world champion Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, a “Salute to Scotland” with pipers, dancers and highland games displays.  The car2go stage will feature North Shore Celtic Ensemble, Jocelyn Pettit, O’Brien Dancers, and many more.   The Mill Street beer gardens will host a colourful stage and licensed area at Robson Square.

?      Celtic Fest Ceilidh – March 18 at St Mary’s Ukrainian Cultural Centre
?      Belfast Girls Play – March 15-18 at East Vancouver Cultural Centre
?      Almost a Step Mom - March 14, 16 & 18 at Havana Theatre
?      Carlos Nunez – April 7 at Vogue Theatre 

CelticFest Vancouver Society is pleased to announce the recipients of the Celtic Persons of the Year Award this year are the SFU Pipe Band founders, Terry and Jack Lee. The award recognizes outstanding contributions made to Celtic culture and heritage in British Columbia and will be presented during CelticFest 2017 at the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir concert at Christ Church Cathedral on Friday, March 17.
